Lisa Dorsey
Lisa has been a student of movement since the age of five, when she first started taking dance lessons, a hobby she continued through her teens into early adulthood, and continues to this day. Her love of dance led Lisa to study and practice various movement modalities, including Feldenkrais, Alexander Method and Horton Technique.
Her love of movement led her to yoga in 1998 at the Dharma Mittra Center in New York City. She was hooked from her very first shavasana.
Lisa spent the next 24 years practicing and studying Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Anusara, Laughing Lotus, and most recently, Katonah Yoga. She has completed multiple advanced trainings, including Yoga with Ropes and Slings with Alison West and the Heart of Hands-On Adjustments with Mary Dana Abbott at Laughing Lotus Yoga in Manhattan.
